Covington High School Announcements

  • Girls Golf Pictures are today after school.
  • GIRLS BASKETBALL CALLOUT– TOMORROW during Homeroom in the COMMONS.
  • Athletic Department Golf Scramble – September 17th @ 1:00 pm at Rivercrest Golf Course.
  • School pictures will be Wednesday, September 20th.
  • Seeger is hosting a College and Skilled Trades Fair on Tuesday, September 26th from 6-8 pm in the PAC.  Tech/Trade Schools and 4-year colleges/universities will be in attendance.  Juniors and seniors, along with their parents, are invited to attend.
Danville Area Community College is bringing Family Science Night back this fall!Have you ever wondered why hot air balloons float and submarines sink? How about investigating what makes a light bulb light or how to make slime? Do you know how much you weigh on Jupiter, Saturn, or Mars? Come to Family Science Night at DACC to find out the answers to these questions and many more. Covington and Lafayette Central Catholic competed at Rivercrest with a three person team.  Covington won 152 to 166! Sydni Crain was the medalist with a score of 38. Lydia Bennett scored 55 (personal best) and Kendall Shumaker scored a 59.  Congratulations!!

The boys tennis team lost to Southmont 3-2. Winning for the Trojans in 1 singles were Urban Roarks and Carson Schaeffer. Practice tonight till 4:15.

You may vote/nominate for the best dressed for Dynamic Duo and Adam Sandler dress up days in the HS office. Students can enter names for whoever they think is best dressed on those days & the winners will be announced at the end of the day and prizes will be given out. 

Clean out your change jars; it’s time for the Kiss the Pig Contest! All senior football players have a jar with their name on it in the High School office. Throughout the week, drop your dollars and cents to your favorite player to see who will give a big ‘ol smooch to a cute little pig at Friday’s Homecoming Pep Session on the square!
